Agricultural activity in the Municipal District is located in pockets with a small concentration on the east side centering around Kinuso, another around Joussard, with the heaviest activity on the west side around High Prairie.
The area has long hours of summer sunshine that is ideal for wheat, barley, oats, and canola. The large ranching and livestock industry of the area also requires significant hay production.
The traditional cattle ranch is interspersed with some buffalo, sheep, and elk.
This region of the Peace country is well-known for it's high quality honey from the clover grown for hay and canola oilseed crops.
Changes in agriculture in recent years is generating a growing focus on "valued-added" processing including a new mobile Abattoir (under-development), as well as recent activity in the area of Bio-Energy and Bio-Fibre.
